Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you Located?
We are currently a mobile unit located around the Dublin Area. Our Pool training is carried out in the National Aquatic Centre in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15 every Monday evening, excluding Bank Holidays. Our Open water training is carried out in several locations depending on weather, tides, sea conditions and visibililty, but mostly we are in Sandycove beach for our beginner courses, we dive off Dalkey Island, Mugglin Rock, Dalkey Sound, Scotsmans Bay, Lambay Island from our boats. We also run many dive excursions around the country from the North East to the South West coasts.
Iām a beginner, what course should I do?
If you have never dived before and are wanting to try it before committing to a full certifying course, we recommend our Discover Scuba Diving class. This is a one evening event with an hour in the pool with a PADI Pro finding out what it feels like to breath underwater.
If you want to challenge yourself a bit more and get yourself a Scuba Diving Certificate, then you need to start with the Open Water Course. This will teach you up to 24 skill sets in water and build on your dive skills over 2 pool sessions and 4 sea dives. You will also need to complete some e-Learning theory which will be assigned to you once you sign up on our website. Once completed you will be certified to dive to 18m with another certified diver.
You can also select the Scuba Diver Course if budget it an issue and this will give you similar training to the Open Water course, but you will complete only 2 pool dives and 2 sea dives and you will be certified to dive to 12m with the assistance of a PADI Pro from then on.
